Fergie Goes Home

I haven't blogged recently due to work and a special guest.
She was deciding if she should stay or if she should go.
We found this cat last night in our mail room at approximately 10:00. We then went and imposed upon a friend of ours to loan us some cat supplies and purchased some more cat supplies from the local Harris Teeter.

She decided to stay; we later learned, her name is Fergie.

So, we put out a call on Facebook to find potential homes if she didn't have an owner. But she was ridiculously affectionate, so we knew that she did have one. It was a question of if we could find her.

A friendly tenant loaned us a box. Fergie liked the box.

So, we carried her around the apartment building in this box, trying to find out if she belonged to any one here. She did not. I then went to work stupid early so that as soon as a local shelter opened, we could go and see if she had a microchip. She did. The little beep the machine gave made it all worthwhile.

She preferred my shoulder.

So, despite bonding with Fergie in the day we knew her, she is safely on her way home to her family. Isn't that aww-dorable? Special thanks to folks who were helpful in making the world a slightly better place. Kindness gets you linky goodness. Regular blogging returns once we get all the awws out of our system.
